All your classes on one screen
Every course's percentage, letter grade and weekly trend, plus what was just graded. No more clicking through each course's Grades page.
For Vanderbilt students on Brightspace
DoreScore puts all your Brightspace grades in one place, weights each class the way its syllabus does, and shows your letter grade and what it does to your GPA.
Free browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc. Your grades never leave your computer.
The problem
A 6/10 on a quiz that gets dropped and a 6/10 on a midterm are not the same thing. Unless your professor set up a weighted gradebook, Brightspace treats them like they are.
So… what's my grade?
2.0 points from an A−. You need 96% on the final to get there.
What you get
Every course's percentage, letter grade and weekly trend, plus what was just graded. No more clicking through each course's Grades page.
Paste the grading section once. DoreScore finds the categories, weights, drop-lowest rules and letter cutoffs, and you confirm them. If Brightspace already has weights, it uses those.
See the exact score you need for each letter, or drag a slider to try a score and watch your course grade and GPA change.
A projected term GPA and cumulative GPA on Vanderbilt's 4.0 scale, updated every time a grade posts. Pass/Fail and zero-credit courses are left out.
How it works
Install DoreScore in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc. No account to create.
Sign in the way you always do. DoreScore reads your grades through that session and syncs them on its own.
For any class Brightspace doesn't weight, paste the syllabus grading section and confirm what DoreScore found. You only do this once per class.
Privacy
DoreScore has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. There's nowhere for your grades to go.
It uses the Brightspace session you're already signed in to. Your VUnetID and Duo stay between you and Vanderbilt.
Grades and settings live in your browser's extension storage on your own computer. Uninstalling deletes them.
DoreScore can only read your own grades. It can't submit work, change anything or see other students.
The only site the extension can reach is brightspace.vanderbilt.edu. Read the full privacy policy.
FAQ
No. DoreScore is an independent project by a Vanderbilt student. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Vanderbilt University or D2L, the company behind Brightspace.
Yes.
When your professor sets up weights or releases a final grade in Brightspace, DoreScore uses exactly that. Otherwise it uses the syllabus weights you confirm. Classes without either show a points-based estimate, clearly marked, until you add weights. Your official grade is always whatever your professor submits.
Each class can have its own letter cutoffs. DoreScore picks them up from the syllabus when it can, and you can edit them any time.
Not yet. DoreScore runs on desktop Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc for now.
No. DoreScore reads the same grade data you already see on Brightspace, through your own login, and changes nothing.
DoreScore is in beta. Leave your email and we'll send you the install link as soon as it's on the Chrome Web Store.
